Large Sainsburys with clothing line available. They have wide range of products and you are always bound to find what you are looking for here. The staff are very friendly and helpful. They often have specials on their books and dvd's. Large wine section.

I am eternally grateful that Lord Sainsbury has seen fit to bless our humble city with his wonderful shop. I believe it sells all sorts of other things in addition to groceries. How simply marvellous!

Sainsburys in Pinhoe, Exeter, is a large supermarket which stocks a large amount of stuff. They have a home section, a clothes section (often with bargain sale items!), a pharmacy, and lots more. There is a cafe, which is probably the only downfall for me as the food isn't brilliant there. I think that the goods are usually good value for money, and the bonus over tesco further down the road is the pharmacy. There's lots of space to move around, and staff are usually pretty helpful.

A large store with a cafe on-site, stocking homeware, electricals, games and movies. Plenty of space to move and polite and knowledgeable staff make it a pleasant place to do your weekly shop.

Sainburys is gnerally a bit more expensive than Tesco, but cheaper than Co-op, and the staff are much more helpful and polite than at Co-op. The shelves are generally well stocked, and the queues are not too bad. I have noticed that they do have quite a high error rate, especially on multi buys and reduced items. Typically, there is overcharging on every other trip, so check your receipts! However, the customer service is ok and they always refund the mistake without quibble. My only really bad experience was when my mrs picked up a jar of curry from the shelf, and it fell apart and splattered her in curry sauce. The manager was reluctant to acknowledge that we didn't break the glass ourselves, and wouldn't offer any compensation without us producing a dry cleaning receipt.
